Laura (Hillerich) Wood, SHRM-CP, PHR is the President/Owner of Out of the Woods HR Consulting.
She has been a collaborative HR Leader and has over 27 years’ experience in: healthcare, including hospitals, senior living, nursing homes; financial services/banking; and distribution/shipping/supply chain management having worked in both profit and non-profit organizations.
Her established reputation is for creating partnerships with individuals at all level-both internally and externally including C-suite leaders.
Laura ’s proficiency and passion covers many areas from talent acquisition, employee onboarding and retention, staff recognition, training and development, and is a firm believer in the importance of Compassion in the Workplace.
Laura hold a BS in Business with an emphasis in Human Resources Management. She is a Business Owner, Speaker, Author, Trainer, HR Consultant.
Laura’s passion is her family, friends and her church. She and her husband have five adult children and seven grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, including time on the lake or river sailing, kayaking or rowing; cheering on their favorite teams, University of Louisville Cards (hers), Virginia Tech Hokies (his)-always a friendly rivalry. In addition, Laura loves signing, reading, and traveling when she can get away.

Kelly Zeilman is the Vice President of Human Resources at Algood Food Company, a private label peanut butter manufacturer located in Riverport Industrial Park. Kelly has over 25 years of experience in Human Resources and has worked for small businesses as well as a large international corporation. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Indiana Wesleyan University and is certified in SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) and SHRM-SCP (Society for Human Resources Management-Senior Certified Professional). She is a member of LSHRM (Louisville Society for Human Resource Management) and has served on the board in several capacities during her 20+ year membership. She is passionate about coaching and mentoring individuals that are new to human resources and management.

Kelly Groves has been part of LSHRM, Louisville Society for Human Resources Management, since 2006 and has served in multiple roles that include VP Administrator, Hospitality DIrector, Membership Development Chair, and many other roles. Kelly has had over 30 years of Human Resources experience in many functions in Human Resources and has served in multiple Human Resource roles that include HR Manager, HR Administrator, Compensation Specialist and in her current role of a Senior Payroll and Benefit Administrator with SHP Management. In addition to volunteering with LSHRM, Kelly loves using her musical talent at church and other volunteer opportunities.

Regina Sears, MPA, SHRM-CP
Regina is an experienced human resources professional with 8 years of progressive experience in multiple industries. She has a demonstrated history of managing all aspects of human resources including benefits and compensation, employee relations, recruiting and onboarding, HR policies and legal compliance. Her greatest strength is building long-standing relationships with all levels of an organization.
She is the Human Resources Manager at Whip Mix Corporation, a family owned business, in the dental manufacturing industry.
Regina is the Vice President of Education for the Communicators Club, Toastmasters International. She is an active member of the National Society for Human Resources Management, Louisville Society for Human Resources Management, and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
Director of Wellness
Annetta L. Hunter
Annetta L. Hunter, Owner and Founder of Hunter Coaching and Consulting, LLC, is a Certified Corporate Wellness Coach, Speaker and noted Author of two books. She has a multi-faceted entrepreneurial business background of over 30 years. She studied Architecture at the Boston Architectural College in Boston, MA where she enjoyed her dream career as an Architectural Designer until she was blessed with twin boys, Christian and Taylor, who are now 14. After relocating to Kentucky in 2006, she discovered her second love of helping people through Coaching becoming a Rapid Transformational Hypnotherapy Practitioner and presently pursuing her Doctor of Philosophy, Ph.D., specializing in Holistic Life Counseling.
Annetta has been an active member of the Worksite Wellness Council of Louisville as the Program Co-Chair for two plus years and joined LSHRM’s Board serving as Co-chair on the Wellness Committee. Annetta made history when she became the first African American President of the Business and Professional Women's Organization of Glasgow, KY. She has committed her life to serve others in many capacities and recently became an Ordained Minister! She cannot wait to preside over her first wedding! Because of her many years working in Corporate; being a Wellness Consultant allows her to share and implement her gifts of insight and coaching talent to serve a multitude of people in need within the business world. She is kept busy at home taking care of her mother, younger sister, twin boys, and Japanese Bobtail cat, Muffin!
Leslie Scott currently serves as a Consumer Engagement Professional, promoting Humana's Go365 wellness program to approximately 100 clients. Her expertise lies in over twenty years of experience in providing internal/external development, team effectiveness, and engagement to all levels of an organization. Designing and implementing strategic plans, she develops high-performing, engaged teams. In addition, she is WELCOA Faculty certified, licensed in Health/Life Insurance, Wellness Co-Chair for LSHRM, and Director of Partnership/Sponsorship for WWCL. She is passionate about healthy living & inspiring others! Outside of work, Leslie is a mother of three daughters and a "Lolly" to her adored grandson.

Danita Taylor is founding member of LeaderShift Coaching, a coaching and consulting company specializing in leadership, career, and life coaching, training and development. As a graduate of the University of Louisville, Danita also enjoys teaching leadership classes as part of the University of Louisville's Executive Education program. Danita is certified in coaching from the International Coach Federation and a senior certified human resources professional from SHRM. Danita is LSHRM's Director of Workforce Development and heads the chapters efforts to build a strong, sustainable workforce. She also provides career coaching to assist others in landing their perfect job. Danita's passion is helping others live their passion!

Mary Orr is the Human Resources Business Partner for ISCO Industries, Inc., a global customized piping solution provider based in Louisville, Kentucky. Mary has been an active member of LSHRM since 2017 and served in various roles including Newsletter Chair, Hospitality Chair, and, most recently as the Director of Hospitality. Mary has an MBA, BS in Hospitality Management, and an AS in Professional Catering.
In her personal life, Mary enjoys reading, running, and spending time with her husband, Nathan, and her beagle, Penny.
Director of Communications/Marketing
Lee Smiley is the Director of Human Resources at QSR Automations Inc., a leading provider of software to the restaurant and hospitality industry. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Louisville College of Business where he teaches Career Development. Prior to working in Human Resources, he worked in operations and project management with several large retailers. In addition to his business background, Lee is an award-winning short fiction author and has served as LSHRM's Director of Communications since January 2020. He is also a volunteer for the Kentucky Governor's Scholars Program and served as a member of the Statewide Selection Committee for over a decade.
Lee has his MBA in Human Resources Management, his BS in Management & Organizational Development, and is SHRM-SCP certified. Outside of his professional life, Lee is married, has four adult children, and is owned by two spoiled cats. He enjoys tennis, reading, cooking, and all things nerdy.
