Michelle DeJohn brings more than 15 years of management workforce development experience to the position of Employer Customer Service Manager for the Kentucky Career Center. In addition to more than a decade of working in Kentucky state government, Michelle has five years of prior experience in the private sector as the Human Resources and Training Department manager with Tele-Quest Teleservices.
Michelle’s agency offers online and other resources to employers for their recruitment needs and services for people seeking employment. As manager, she promotes the agency’s services such as employee assessment and remediation, work-based training assistance, labor market information, and employer tax credits such as the Work Opportunity Tax Credit and the Kentucky Unemployment Tax programs.
Michelle also supports the Kentucky Career Center’s partnerships with other state agencies, local workforce development boards, education stakeholders and nonprofit partners to fulfill her agency’s mission of helping employers find, train and keep the best talent and assisting Kentuckians with their job search and training needs.
A New York native, Michelle holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and education from the State University of New York. She lives in Versailles with her fiancée and daughter.
