Bridging the Talent Gap
Bridging the Talent Gap (BTG) is a grassroots effort aimed at identify the numerous workforce challenges facing the Greater Louisville region. Led by the Louisville and Southern Indiana Societies for Human Resource Management (as well as the Graduate Network!) in 2016, BTG initiated as a Talent Alignment Survey investigating educational and skill gaps employers experience in their workforce. Due to its success, KYSHRM expanded the survey to the state level in 2017 providing a more comprehensive picture of Kentucky’s workforce environment. Bridging the Talent Gap Highlights
Economic Conditions: Business in Louisville is looking great with 79% of respondents describing economic conditions in our community as positive and 86% expecting moderate to high growth in the next 3-5 years.
Difficulty Finding Talent image: 82% of businesses responding to the report have difficulty in recruiting for positions in their organization.
Partner with colleges: 74% of responding companies either don't partner with local education and training providers or don't know if they do.
