SPOT Award Winner for January

The SPOT Award stands for Spontaneous Praise and Ongoing Thanks. We recognize a volunteer monthly that goes above and beyond in their dedication and support of the LSHRM Chapter.

Patricia Williams was nominated for the January Spot Award due to her taking the lead to secure sponsors for our 1st Chapter meeting. She also took time to meet with key directors to provide mentoring and support in their new roles. Patricia also worked with the Workforce Readiness on BW2 with Josh and his team we would also like to add that Patricia is always smiling even during tough times and provides honest feedback as one of our past presidents.

Patricia A. Williams, Certified Human Resource Professional, Director at Louisville Central Community Centers. Williams holds dual Master of Science degrees in the areas of Conflict Management and Human Resource Leadership.

She is a workforce advocate and pioneer for professional development and specializes in steering under-utilized and at-risk populations towards better employment opportunities. She is an author of the anthology, Evolution of Human Resources and other articles.

Some of her accomplishments include Kentucky Colonel Award recipient, Leadership Louisville, Bingham Fellows Alum, and named by Business First Louisville as one of 20 People to Know in Human Resources.

She has also served as adjunct faculty at Sullivan and Spalding University. Williams is a Past President of Louisville Society for Human Resource Management and Certification Director for KYSHRM State Council as our Professional Development and Certification Director.
