“Engaged, Empowered and Aligned: Strategies for a New Workplace”

Hello Dear Members!

As this first quarter is nearing its end, I want to address some things we have learned since the beginning of the year. I believe in taking the opportunity to adjust along the way, which can be a win for all of us. I would like to incorporate the platform that I have introduced for this year as our guide.

“Engaged, Empowered and Aligned.”

With that being said, after receiving feedback from you, our members, we want to allow for more ENGAGEMENT by providing more and focused NETWORKING during our Chapter meetings each month.

Therefore, going forward, our meetings will begin at 11:30am and time will be allowed for networking until noon, and then the program will begin by introducing the sponsors for that meeting, then we will give time after the introduction of that month’s sponsors to visit their tables, talk more with other members, or finish lunch. After those 10-15 minutes, we will introduce our speaker who will speak for 45 minutes and allow 15 minutes for questions. At that point, if we finish at 1:00pm, you will still have 30 minutes to network or continue asking questions of the speaker.

We hope that will provide you lots of time for a good visit with other members! Beyond the Chapter meetings, we understand that the HR Connects of old provided more time to connect as well. They have evolved over time to be more of an “Event” versus just having time to connect. Therefore, we will be incorporating more gatherings like meeting at a public venue that has a private to semi-private space, give you a one drink free ticket with hors oeuvres and mingle time. Watch for upcoming announcements for our first HR Connect gathering! We always value your membership and feedback, and as your 2023 President, I want you to know that I hear you!

Be sure to sign up for our upcoming Chapter meeting on April 11, 2023, titled: “Creative Problem Solving: Thinking Outside the Box”

04/11/2023, 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM @ Founders Union, UofL ShelbyHurst Campus,

450 N. Whittington Pkwy, Louisville, KY 40222

I want to thank our March Speaker, Lisa Johnson for such an incredible program and topic that could apply to any career or business on creating a strategy and blueprint for your HR career.

Warmest Regards “EE&A” (Engaged, Empowered and Aligned)
