Welcome Ladaya Owens, Interim Diversity & Inclusion Director

LaDaya Owens is passionate about training, coaching, and developing current and future leaders. LaDaya graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor's in Business Management and from Campbellsville University with a Master’s in Business Administration with an International Business concentration. From a young age, LaDaya has learned the importance of giving individuals the tools they need to succeed personally and professionally.  As a Change Agent, she is dedicated to promoting the worthy initiative of Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace and the need to have different cultural perspectives at the table. She strongly believes that a healthy workplace at the root understands and accepts that everyone has something unique and valuable to contribute. Currently, LaDaya works for a nonprofit organization as a Community Engagement Specialist, where she helps low-income Americans ages 16-21 obtain summer employment in the Louisville Metro area. LaDaya’s positive attitude and go-getter tenacity has afforded the title of the Miss Black University of Kentucky her freshman year, a member of the prestigious University of Kentucky Opera Theater and the 2008 Gatton College of Business and Economics.
