Greetings, LSHRM Members:
Can you believe it is already March?!? I don’t know about you, but I am ready for Spring. The first two months of the year have been good ones for LSHRM from my perspective. With 64.29% or our members advising us on our 2021-year end member survey that in 2022 they would what to have a Hybrid option for our chapter meetings – in person AND virtual -I am proud to say that we have been successful holding our January meeting in person and our February meeting Hybrid. Feedback has been very positive.
Additionally, we just received news that the top 25 Fundraising Chapters for the SHRM Foundation are #2 Louisville SHRM Inc. and I’d like to give a shout out to #3 SHRM-Bluegrass Chapter. Let me express my sincere gratitude to our members who support the mission of the SHRM Foundation.
As if that wasn’t enough, I’d like to introduce you to our 2022 Compassionate Reset Advisory Committee:
Brayton Bowen, Laura Wood, Trish Candler, Brad Shuck, Tiffany Cardwell, Tom Williams, Vivian Blade, Annetta Hunter
As I shared last month the committee’s sole purpose will be advising the board on ways to build a Compassionate Legacy for LSHRM. Our first meeting is scheduled on April 15. If you have thoughts or ideas you would like share with the committee, please reach out to me or the Chair of our Committee Brayton Bowen at brayton@howlandgroup.com

Also, there has been an interest in having an LSHRM Book Club. As an avid reader I’m all for that. It seems that with Compassionate Reset in mind the best book to start with should be a book about compassion at work. There are 3 books I have in mind and here we go again who is interested? The books are: #1 has the most votes so far. Let me know if you are interested in being added to the list. At this point our readers will be meeting virtually and a decision will be made at the end of March.
