Greetings, LSHRM friends.

Each month while writing my article for the LightPost I have a reoccurring thought. HOLY COW the year is passing so quickly…do you have similar feelings?

This year has been packed with many incredible opportunities for our membership, most recently our HR Connect Twilight Thursday at Churchill Downs Millionaires Row. Blessed with a beautiful evening, networking opportunities galore, viewing the incredible horses as well as outstanding service from the Churchill Downs Team. From my perspective being there was a winning bet. Missed it no worries join us at our October 26 New Member Orientation at Fante’s Coffee, Grinstead Dr or our Annual SHRM Foundation Fundraiser Event on November 3 at Wildwood Country Club.

In September I asked my friend Dr. Brad Shuck to share his thoughts on #QuietQuitting. I hope you enjoyed his article. If you have stories or questions you would like to share with Dr. Shuck let me know and I’m glad to connect you. As hard as it is to believe It’s that time of the year again to elect our board for next year. While we have many candidates for the 2023 LSHRM Board of Directors Ballot we are notifying all members who have any interest in becoming a volunteer on any of the committees listed below to contact our VP Administration, Cindy Vaughan, cvaughan@lshrm.org or President Elect, Annetta Hunter, ahunter@lshrm.org. The ballot will be sent to all members on Friday, October 21. At that time, we will need your vote! Please take a few minutes to submit your interest.
