Better Workplaces, Better World (BW2)
A city-wide research project aimed at better understanding what matters most to
Louisville’s workforce.
The Problem
Employers across the US spend approximately $536 billion dollars on voluntary turnover annually and, as we shift to the ‘new normal’ in COVID-19, this landscape will continue to change. This begs the question: do employers really know what matters most to the diverse workforce of today?
The Solution
To answer this question, LSHRM, along with a thoughtful group of community leaders, launched Better Workplaces, Better World (BW2) in early 2019: a city-wide research project aimed at driving innovative and effective retention programs. In a nutshell, the survey asked Louisville’s workforce the following questions:
The Result
With 676 responses collected over one month, Louisville’s Workforce has spoken! This data is free and available to all with the goal of helping employers create and tailor policies and benefits to meet the needs of the regional workforce. This data is available in two ways:
