PROGRAM DETAILS

Program learning objectives:

  • “Becoming Alcohol Free”: Is drinking getting into the way of living your best life? Is drinking making your anxiety worse? You don’t have to be clinically diagnosed with alcoholism to stop drinking or cut back. There is no shame in learning more about alcohol and the role it plays in your life. This talk directly addresses anxiety as it pertains to wellness.
  •  Parenting During the Pandemic”: As a single mother and widowed, Jon’a discusses the new normal since the Pandemic and how it has affected her life as a parent from home schooling, while working, and various other life changes that many can relate to since 2020
  • Leadership and Anxiety”: The discussion centers on dealing with anxiety and depression as a business owner and community leader.  Methods to achieve wellness and operate in the midst of struggles will be discussed.  This has a direct relationship to Wellness in the Workplace and how leadership is an example of how to mitigate anxiety and seek help when needed.
  • “Nutritional Wellness”: Eating healthy food is important to our overall wellbeing and Jordan will prepare a healthy meal for the nutritional portion of our Wellness event.

Samantha Perkins - Author

Samantha Perkins is the author of Alive AF-One Anxious Mom’s Journey to Becoming Alcohol Free. Samantha is passionate about sharing her anxiety remedies and universal truths she has discovered about living without alcohol. She is especially interested in uncovering the ubiquitous role that alcohol plays in our everyday lives — in everything from parenting, mental health, relationships and career choices.

Jon’a Joiner - DEI Consultant | Speaker | Wellness Coach

"Prior to starting her own equity, inclusion, and wellness advocacy firm, Jon’a spent several years as a corporate communications leader, where she led strategic objectives such as healthcare and wellness communications, oversight of business resource group councils, and the development of inclusive awareness activation centers for a multi-brand franchise system.

Today, Jon’a spends her time engaging and educating leaders on the intersectionality of equity & inclusion, psychological safety, and employee wellbeing. Though the COVID-19 and racial justice crises of 2020 thrust these issues to the forefront, she argues the synergies between them have been present for generations and cannot be overstated. Jon’a believes corporate wellness is a vital component of both personal and organizational effectiveness.

She is the founder of Drink First Then Pour, a self-love activation community for high achieving women, and was recently featured as a wellness expert in Parents Magazine."

John Disselkamp Owner & President

First Class Commercial Cleaning

Headquartered in Louisville, KY, our mission at First Class Commercial Cleaning is to provide the highest level of professional, quality cleaning to each and every one of our clients in the Kentuckiana area. First Class will ensure consistency, dependability, and integrity not often seen in the cleaning industry today. We will get the job done to your specifications, regardless of how large or small the office or building may be.

First Class Commercial Cleaning was started by John Disselkamp, a native Louisvillian and former career banker. John observed the lack of quality cleaning and attention to detail through the years working in various professional office environments. This inspired him to start First Class. John believes that in a fairly simple industry, sheer hard work, dependability, and attention to detail is what separates First Class Commercial Cleaning from the rest of the field. John and his employees promise quality and service!
